Going Going – and Gone

I loved this bracelet and thought it would look absolutely fabulous with a pair of jeans and pretty much anything else. Apparently so did a gal who came rafting this past weekend. She tried it on and it never left her hand after that. She almost winced when I took it and put it in a bag for her! It’s a little hard to see in this picture but the bracelet has three strands of those lovely blue and white stones combined with a bit of silver.

On top of that she took these earrings as well. They are simple but different – and of course – green!

Aching For Amethyst

I love the delicate purple hues of this multi-twist bracelet. The silvered leaf toggle is such a beautiful way to clasp it around your wrist that I am not sure which I like best – the stones or the clasp!

The chandelier ‘earbobs’ only help to finish the look.

A Little Time Away Has Kick-started My Creativity Once More

Okay - I'm trying to get back into this and I don't know why I'm choosing the busiest time of my year to do so.

You see - during the summer I help out my brother with his white-water rafting business. I do everything I can to lend him a hand - but I don't guide anymore. Since he built his rafting center I'm the one who has to stay behind and keep it open. Ah well! Anything for my brother - that's how it is.

But - that's not what I wanted this post to be about. I wanted to show you some of the new designs I've been working on.
I think I should have called myself BigBlueBarn Designs - as now I've branched out from knitting and have become interested in making jewellery.

Here's a look at some of my first attempts. Eventually I'll be showing you some of the beads I'm going to make by hand. I decided on going that way once I got into making jewellery as I was still unable to make the statement that was inside me.

We've added some buttons to our sidebar to show off the new blog!
Here is how to add one or more of our buttons to your blog of choice:

Login to Blogger
Click “Layout”
On the sidebar of your layout, click “Add a Page Element”
Under “HTML/JavaScript” click “Add to Blog”
Add a title like “Try this” or “Cool web browser”
Copy the code of your favorite button and paste into the “Content” box
Click “Save Changes”

LiveJournal

Login to LiveJournal
Hover over “Manage” and click “Info”
Copy the code of your favorite button and paste into the “Bio” box

MySpace

Login to MySpace and click “Edit Profile”
Copy the code of your favorite button and paste into the “Interests” box
Click “Preview Section” and then “Save All Changes”

TypePad

Login to TypePad
Click on “TypeLists”
Select List type “Notes”, give the List a name and click “Create new list”
Click “Add this list to your weblog(s) or About Page”
Check the box next to your weblog and click “Save Changes”
Click “Add a new Item”
Copy the code of your favorite button and paste into the “Note” box

WordPress

Login to your WordPress and go to your Dashboard
Click on “Links” or "Blogroll" and then “Add Link”
Type 'Firefox' into "Name" or "Link Name"
Copy and paste the first URL of the button code into “URI” or "Address"
Click the "+" on the far right side of the "Advanced" bar
Copy and paste the second URL of the button code into “Image URI” or “Image Address”
Click “Add Link”
