Carrying on with the blue theme – I love these glass earrings. It doesn’t matter to me if they are just glass or lampworked glass. There’s something about them that makes me happy.

I love the colour of these earrings. I always think the Queen must wear this colour a lot. Not only does it have that cold ethereal look to it but it denotes royalty as well. So she can get it all in one look.
I’m not the Queen – not even in my own home – but I still love these!I’ve always loved turquoise. The beautiful colour of it draws my eye to any piece of jewelry I see with it in it.
That is why I had to sit down and make a couple pieces.
Here is my first attempt.
I love books. I’m an avid reader. And with that goes bookmarks. I love them. I have a stash I’ve collected over the years – favourites I use all the time and special ones that I don’t want to mark up with use.
When I read I like to sip a hot cup of tea. I find the whole combination relaxing and soothing.
That brings me to Bookhooks. Being hooked on books and on bookmarks – why not Bookhooks? Being hooked on books, bookmarks and tea – well have a look see……
I loved this bracelet and thought it would look absolutely fabulous with a pair of jeans and pretty much anything else. Apparently so did a gal who came rafting this past weekend. She tried it on and it never left her hand after that. She almost winced when I took it and put it in a bag for her! It’s a little hard to see in this picture but the bracelet has three strands of those lovely blue and white stones combined with a bit of silver.
On top of that she took these earrings as well. They are simple but different – and of course – green!
I love the delicate purple hues of this multi-twist bracelet. The silvered leaf toggle is such a beautiful way to clasp it around your wrist that I am not sure which I like best – the stones or the clasp!
The chandelier ‘earbobs’ only help to finish the look.
Okay - I'm trying to get back into this and I don't know why I'm choosing the busiest time of my year to do so.
You see - during the summer I help out my brother with his white-water rafting business. I do everything I can to lend him a hand - but I don't guide anymore. Since he built his rafting center I'm the one who has to stay behind and keep it open. Ah well! Anything for my brother - that's how it is.
But - that's not what I wanted this post to be about. I wanted to show you some of the new designs I've been working on.
I think I should have called myself BigBlueBarn Designs - as now I've branched out from knitting and have become interested in making jewellery.
Here's a look at some of my first attempts. Eventually I'll be showing you some of the beads I'm going to make by hand. I decided on going that way once I got into making jewellery as I was still unable to make the statement that was inside me.
Anyway - have a look.
